Jay's focus is on the real-world application of cutting edge technology, especially where hardware and software meet. He has worked with clients across sectors, including publishing, financial services, education and security. From startups to corporations like Nest and the BBC, he has helped senior teams understand the impact of new technologies and developed cutting-edge services to take advantage of them.
He began his career at Stanford Linear Accelerator designing controller systems. Since then, he has moved between consulting, startup launching and a technical leadership position at ZNet. He has a BA in physics from the University of California, Berkeley. He also received a masters in evolutionary archaeology from University College London for his research on applying the mathematics of evolutionary biology to cultural events.
